New Veteran Scholarship Program announced by First Choice College

Veterans and their families are being invited to apply for a new Scholarship for study at First Choice College. The initiative forms part of a collaboration between Soldier On and First Choice College (RTO #31707), to enable more veterans and their families to upskill, re-train and secure their future career pathway, after leaving the Australian Defence Force.

Veterans and their immediate family members are invited to apply for the Scholarship, which will see one successful applicant being awarded a $1500 bursary towards the cost of their chosen course at First Choice College.

Ian Wright, CEO of First Choice College, announced; “It is our honour to support Solider On by sponsoring an individual veteran or family member for a Course of their choice, as a way of giving back to them and to show our continual support. We feel that these veterans deserve to have the opportunity to choose “what happens next” for them in their career, whether this be Leadership and Management or Project Management, we have so many options to choose from.”

The initiative from First Choice College is launching for the first time ever, in collaboration with Soldier On’s Pathways Program. First Choice College has been recognised as a veteran-supportive, Soldier On Education Partner.

Soldier On’s Pathways Program provides free employment and education support to veterans and their families. Participants who join the Pathways Program receive free employment and education support and are connected with veteran-friendly Education providers, who can assist them with achieving their educational goals.

Rob Hills, Soldier On’s Pathways Manager – Education, says; “We are delighted to be partnering with First Choice College and so excited to announce the launch of this new Scholarship for veterans and their families registered with Soldier On’s Pathways Program. Soldier On’s Education team is passionate about supporting veterans and their families, and enabling them to get their skills recognised, access education opportunities and go on to secure their future careers.”
