Our education program ensures your abilities, skills, and attributes gained during your service career are recognised in the workplace. We also assist in identifying education opportunities you can take advantage of to help you find a job. Through partner education and training organisations, we can also offer you access to a range of courses that will help you gain qualifications and develop the skills needed to transition into a new career.

 

What kind of training is available?

  • Working with Registered Training Organisations, Service personnel and their families can have their current skills and experiences translated and reviewed. This can be in the form of Recognition of Prior Learning fast tracking your civilian career.
  • A vast range of vocational courses offered by education and training organisations, at often discounted or heavily reduced prices. Courses including information technology, cybersecurity, business and project management, real estate and property sales, permaculture, early childhood education, workplace health and safety, arts and creativity to name a few.
  • Career direction and personal skills which can be used by service personnel and their families across many aspects and areas of their lives from time management, communication, mentoring, and work-life balance.

 

What does our service include?

Our Program Officers offer individually tailored services to support all current and ex-service personnel and their families. Soldier On will provide access to a variety of education opportunities at a vocational, diploma, and certificate level that we can assist you to enrol in and offer recognition of prior learning that can translate your current skills and experience into formally recognised qualifications through our Education Providers; Blended Learning International, Macdonald Education, Paladin Risk Management Services, ClayMatter, Safety Corps, ACE Community Colleges, and Transformed.

 

How much are the courses?

The cost of each course is different. However, thanks to the generous support of Soldier On’s Education partners, the courses are offered at a reduced cost or may be free if you are registered with Soldier On as a participant.
